Look Like A Star (Part
4 of 4)
Rockin' Back To School Hairstyling Tips from The
Hollywood Hair Guy
By: Jason R. Rich
Want to look trendy and fun, yet totally stylish as you get ready
to go back-to-school? If you're thinking about changing your look,
hairstylist to the stars Dean Banowetz, known as The Hollywood Hair
Guy (www.hollywoodhairguy.com), has some
awesome stylin' tips.
Check out how Dean used popular Herbal Essence products to create
this perfect back-to-school style.

Valerie had relatively short hair
when she walked into Dean's salon. She wanted to keep her
hair short and easy to manage, yet dramatically update her
look.

"I started by letting Valerie's
hair loose and layering it, using a series of brushes, combs
and, of course, scissors," said Dean, who recommended
that people only allow trained stylists to cut their hair. |

Using Herbal Essence Extra Hold Styling
Gel, I added some curls and messed up her hair a bit, getting
rid of the straight, pulled back style Valerie had,"
said Dean. "She needed to look younger and more playful."
|

By adding a flower to her hair it
created some extra height. By doing this, Dean created the
illusion of length to Valerie's square-shaped face. "I
wanted the front of her hair to lift off of her forehead.
I also pulled back the sides and bunched up the hair toward
the back to add height and make her face look narrower,"
said Dean.

 |
"By adding the curls, I created
a more playful look for Valerie, yet with the sides pulled
up and back, it also conveys a fun and sophisticated attitude,
which is perfect for back-to-school," said Dean. |
